StudentCom Internet

We know how important reliable internet access is, so we provide StudentCom Internet in most of our accommodation. StudentCom gives you a superfast broadband connection with a choice of speeds to suit your needs and of course budget. StudentCom also gives you over 30 TV channels and allows you to make phone calls through your computer. You can already enjoy the 4Mbps service included in your rent, or you can choose to upgrade to an 8Mbps or 16Mbps service. Some UNITE properties offer a wireless only service; in these properties the option to upgrade is not available. Please see individual accommodation pages for details of the Internet service available.

How does it work?

We've given you a cable that connects your computer to the Internet connection. You can use the StudentCom service straight away, all you need to do is:

  • Plug the cable in to your computer and in to the Internet cable socket(near your desk).
  • Once you've done this you will be taken to the StudentCom portal where you will need to set up an account to start browsing.

What is the upgrade service and how do I get it

You can already enjoy a 4Mbps connection in most accommodation as the service included in your rent, which is great for browsing the web and sending emails. But if you want to do more than that, like play online games, download files and music; you can do it faster by upgrading to our premium packages.

  • The 8Mbps service delivers a faster connection and quicker downloads ensuring an overall superior broadband experience.
  • The 16Mbps connection is the service for you if you're looking for the fastest and most efficient way to browse the web, download audio and video files, play online games and much more.

You can prepay for the entire year and save some cash, taking away the headache of dealing with remembering to renew your subscription. Or sign up just for the Month or Term and renew when you're ready.

The option to upgrade is not available in properties with Wireless only connections.
