Recommend a friend offer
1. From Friday 17th July 2009, all customers who are at complete status in any Direct Let UNITE property in Birmingham, Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester and Huddersfield can recommend a friend to live with UNITE in any of these cities. If the recommended person then completes a tenancy with UNITE and checks in at the property, the recommender will have the choice of receiving either £100 worth of Play.com vouchers- within one month of them being contacted by phone (in accordance with paragraph 4. below) or a £100 cheque, payable when their deposit is returned.
2. In each city where the offer is available, there is limited availability of Play.com vouchers and £100 cheques and the discount may be withdrawn at any time. The offer, therefore, is subject to availability.
3. To qualify for the offer (and subject to offer still being available), the recommended person must not be a person who has or has had a tenancy with UNITE during 2008/2009 and must book online at www.unite-students.com and enter the promotional code FRIEND when registering. When the recommended person receives a call from UNITE’s sales team, they must provide the details of their recommender.
Alternatively, the recommended person may call 0845 604 0794 and state the promotional code FRIEND. The recommended person must provide the details of their recommender.
4. The recommended customer must have moved to ‘checked in’ status for the offer to be valid. The recommender will then be contacted by phone during October 2009 to establish if they would prefer to receive £100 worth of Play.com vouchers or a £100 cheque at the end of their tenancy.
5. The Play.com vouchers will be in the form of 2 x £50 Play.com vouchers to be redeemed on Play.com. The vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with each other or any other offer. The terms and conditions of the vouchers are also available on www.unite-students.com. Vouchers will be sent out to recommenders within 1 month of them being contacted by phone to confirm their choice of incentive.
The £100 cheque will be sent to the recommender once their tenancy has ended, subject to the recommended person not having breached his/ her tenancy. An official letter confirming this payment will be sent to recommenders within 1 month of them being contacted by phone to confirm their choice of incentive.
6. This offer is only valid for up to 5 recommended friends per recommender. For any friends recommended after this point, customers will not receive a cheque or voucher.
7. UNITE reserves the right to remove or change this promotional offer at any time.
