Eating Out
The Students Union will have you covered for most meals and snacks. But if you fancy venturing out to try something different, you’ll find a range of eateries not far from our Loughborough student accommodation, including: Mexican at the Cactus Café, modern Indian at Dining Room, and Peking and Cantonese cuisine at the Laughing Buddha Restaurant
Sporting Spotlights
Spread across the university campus are leading sports facilities, including an international-standard 400m track and stadium, a range of grass, 3G and water-based pitches, and the National Cricket Performance Centre, which is home to the England Cricket Team. This is a great place to live for students with sport in their hearts. For fans of professional sports, the close proximity to Leicester and Nottingham means you can see Leicester Tigers Rugby Club play a short train journey away, or pop into Nottingham to see the former European Champions Nottingham Forest FC.
Culture Corners
Loughborough benefits from many public parks which are highly popular with students, particularly in the summer. Many university students meet at Queens Park or Cumberland Road Park to relax in the sunshine between lectures. In the town centre there is a multiplex cinema. Plus, you won’t have to travel far from our student accommodation to have great access to the many music and entertainment stars who visit the Students’ Union every year.
Evening Entertainment
There are two nightclubs, five bars and a pub with a beer garden all at the Student Union and just a short distance from our student accommodation. The Mansion has two rooms of music and is open until 3:00am four nights a week. There’s all the top-quality vodka you could ever want at Revolution. Or for a few late drinks after lectures The Moon and Bell is highly recommended.

Around you

Getting Around
Loughborough’s train station offers regular services to London and neighbouring cities, such as Nottingham and Leicester. Birmingham New Street is just a 30-minute train journey away, which has links to the rest of the UK. Additionally, the campus is located just five-minutes’ drive from Junction 23 of the M1 motorway which connects London to the North of England via the East Midlands. This makes Loughborough a great starting point for students exploring more of the UK at weekends and during university holidays.
Health and Wellbeing
The university offers all its students onsite medical care which can be accessed between the Students Union and the library on University Road. The university offers welfare, financial and career advice to all its students and these can be found in various advice clinics across campus. Our properties are in close proximity to all the campus departments so students are never far away from the help they may need. Aside from the campus facilities, Loughborough Hospital (which includes the Family Planning Clinic and the Loughborough Urgent Care Centre) is located on Epinal Way just past the university campus.
The town centre, just a 10-minute walk or a five-minute bus ride from your new home, is home to all the high street banks and shops that you’d expect in a popular university town, including  a Tesco store, as well as all the bars and shops of Loughborough town centre. Loughborough Students' Union has a convenience store with pharmaceuticals, snacks, basic foods, and newspapers. The Students' Union is also home to a book store with all the textbooks you’ll need for your course. There’s also a Piazza café that serves Starbucks refreshments to enjoy between studying.
