The University of London Students’ Union is just five minutes’ walk from the property for the Union bars, clubs, societies, shops and services. The Students’ Unions of UCLU and Birkbeck are also close by.
The property is ideally located to experience the nightlife and entertainment of central London, just five minutes’ journey to Leicester Square for West End theatres and Soho nightlife, and Covent Garden for restaurants, bars, street entertainment, live music and comedy.
Oxford Street is just a 10-minute journey away. London’s leading shopping destination, home to department stores, designer brands and high street stores.
The local area of Holborn and Bloomsbury is home to a wide variety of international restaurants, independent shops and boutiques. The area has a range of pubs and bars, from traditional English venues to modern contemporary cocktail bars.
There is a range of shops, restaurants and amenities within a couple of minutes’ walk including convenience stores, hairdressers, a post office, Starbucks, Pizza Hut and Subway. The area even has its own Sicilian Avenue full of Italian shops and restaurants.
The Brunswick Centre is just seven minutes’ walk away with a fantastic choice of shops, including high street and designer fashion stores, book shops, mobile phone shops, and health and beauty stores. There are also plenty of places to eat or grab a drink at a range of restaurants, cafés and bars. The Brunswick Centre is also home to the famous Renoir arthouse cinema and a weekend Street Food market.
Although Woburn Place is centrally located, there are plenty of local parks and gardens to enjoy. Russell Square is just two minutes’ walk down the road, and Tavistock Square Gardens are just around the corner.
The British Museum is just a 10-minute walk from the property with free entry to view one of the largest collections of human history and culture in the world.
St George’s Gardens are less than 10 minutes’ walk from Woburn Place and are home to picturesque gardens as well as sports pitches.
You can walk to Regent's Park in less than 20 minutes. Regent’s Park is home to London Zoo, as well as the Open Air Theatre, a boating lake, sports facilities and wildlife across 400 acres. Primrose Hill has fantastic views across London.

Bannatyne’s Health Club is in Russell Square, directly opposite Woburn Place. There is also a Fitness First club on Coram Street – at the side of Woburn Place – which offers a student discount to Woburn Place residents.
Other gyms in the area include Energybase at the University of London Union on Malet Street, LA Fitness Holborn on Theobalds Road, and Nuffield Health and Fitness Centre on Mecklenburgh Place.
St George’s Gardens has three outdoor multi-purpose sports pitches which are open for public use, just a few minutes’ walk from Woburn Place.
Regent's Park is less than 20 minutes’ walk from Woburn Place and houses the largest outdoor sports area in central London. Many clubs and associations meet in the park, including cricket, football, and rugby teams, plus tennis, netball and running clubs, and exercise classes.

Travel and Transport
Russell Square (Piccadilly line) station is less than five minutes away for direct trains to Kings Cross, Islington, Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus, Hyde Park and Knightsbridge.
Euston Square and Warren Street stations are five minutes away for Circle, Hammersmith and City and Metropolitan lines, with trains to Paddington and Liverpool Street.
Holborn station is 10 minutes away for the Piccadilly and Central lines. Holborn is just two stops from Oxford Circus, with trains to Shoreditch, Mile End and Stratford.
King's Cross St Pancras is 10 minutes’ walk for six underground lines, trains out of London, and the Eurostar to mainland Europe.

Woburn Place is right in the heart of London, so there are a number of supermarkets, convenience stores and newsagents in the local area. There is a convenience store directly opposite, and a Tesco Express next to Russell Square station, just around the corner from Woburn Place.
There is a large Waitrose supermarket just behind the property in the Brunswick Centre, just a couple of minutes’ walk from Woburn Place. A Marks & Spencer can be found at Euston station, just over five minutes from the property.
There are many useful amenities close by, including post offices, a Western Union currency exchange, and a number of high street banks and building societies.

The Brunswick Centre, just five minutes from Woburn Place, has a Boots pharmacy, Specsavers and an NHS Medical Centre. The centre is located just behind the property on Marchmont Street.
