Social Scenes
The property is in a great location to experience the world-famous student nightlife London has to offer. The local area has a great range of bars and pubs, and you can reach the bars, clubs and restaurants of central London and Soho in less than 20 minutes on the underground.
Tottenham Chances is a great local bar – just a 10-minute walk away – that hosts comedy, open mic nights and live music. Alexandra Palace is also nearby and home to concerts, exhibitions and events such as the Red Bull Soapbox Race. The Palace’s seven-acre grounds also include a pub, restaurant, ice rink, boating lake and pitch and putt course.
The famous Brick Lane and Spitalfields markets are a short journey from the property, providing a wealth of restaurants, bars, entertainment and shopping. 
Plus, Europe’s largest urban shopping and leisure destination, Westfield Shopping Centre, with over 250 stores and 70 restaurants, is less than 15 minutes' journey by train.
North Lodge is located in a picturesque area of north London, and is surrounded by parks, woodland and reservoirs. This means that, despite being a short trip from central London, you have a range of great outdoor areas to explore and enjoy.
Tottenham Marshes and Lea Valley Region Park are minutes from the property. The Wildlife Trust regularly provides opportunities for our students to take part in conservation projects, planting and other activities such as wildlife photography.
UnderOneSun, a local charity, runs allotments where local residents can volunteer, help grow vegetables and make and sell other produce. 
Alternatively, you can get involved in social enterprise at 639 High Road, a brand new space designed to house lots of activities for local people.
Bernie Grants Arts Centre has a fantastic schedule of plays and exhibitions within walking distance of the property. North Lodge is also close to the William Morris Gallery, The Arc Art Gallery and the Walthamstow Art Trail.
Getting Active
North Lodge is next door to The Gym Tottenham Hale and close to Tottenham Hotspur football club. The Gym Tottenham Hale offers cheap membership rates for 24/7 gym access. Membership also includes regular free gym classes.
Tottenham Hotspur football club’s White Hart Lane stadium is less than 10 minutes’ drive from North Lodge, or less than 30 minutes’ walk. Home to one of England’s biggest and most historic clubs, the stadium is well worth a visit on match day.
Tottenham Hale is also close to world-class Lee Valley White Water Centre, where you can experience white water rafting, or canoe or kayak on the Olympic white water course, where the UK’s Etienne Stott and Tim Baillie won gold in the Canoe Slalom Double in the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Travel and Transport
North Lodge benefits from fantastic transport links. The property is just two minutes’ walk from Tottenham Hale underground station and less than 15 minutes' commute to central London on the Victoria line. You can reach King's Cross St Pancras in 11 minutes, Warren Street, for central London universities, in 14 minutes and Oxford Circus in 16 minutes.
The main line runs from Tottenham Hale overground station, just two minutes from North Lodge, with regular trains to Liverpool Street and Stratford. Plus, there are excellent bus links to central London and the popular student areas of Hoxton, Dalston and Shoreditch.

All the local universities offer health, welfare and financial support to their students. North Lodge is within a short journey of many local university facilities, so you’ll have great access to any help that you may need.
Regular drop-in sessions are provided to give residents support should they need it. Conveniently, there is a Boots pharmacy located just minutes from the property at Tottenham Hale Retail Park.

North Lodge has fantastic communal spaces including a common room with free pool table, large TV and comfy seating, plus a study area and large courtyard. The building has 24-hour security with secure entry doors and CCTV cameras, plus on-site customer service and maintenance teams to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The property is right next door to Emily Bowes Court, making for a lively student atmosphere in the area.
Regular events are held for residents including Welcome Parties, BBQ’s and charity events to help you meet new people, take part in sporting events, and get involved in volunteering with our community partners. You could even become a Student Ambassador to help organise events and volunteering while gaining valuable experience to add to your CV.
North Lodge offers a wide range of en-suite rooms, so you have your own bathroom, in shared flats of 3-10 bedrooms with shared kitchen and living areas. These flats are ideal for sharing with friends or meeting new people. The property also offers studio flats for more independent student living.
