  • For certain properties the ‘summer period’ is slightly less than 8 weeks. Confirmation of the length of the ‘summer period’ at a particular property can be obtained by asking a member of the hospitality team at the property.

    9. UNITE reserves the right to remove this promotional offer at any time.

    10. UNITE reserves the right not to accept a booking from a customer who is currently in arrears.

The Cancellation Policy for Summer Lets

The cancellation policy for Summer Let customers has been written and approved by Walker Morris Solicitors.

" Unless you have already moved into the accommodation, you may cancel your Licence Agreement (by giving us written notice of cancellation), at any time during the period ending on the date 14 days after the date we return to you the Customer Copy of this Licence For Occupation, duly completed on behalf of the Licensor (the "Cancellation Period"). If you cancel the Licence Agreement in those circumstances, we will make no charge and will return to you the Licence Fee in full. However after the Cancellation Period or once you move into the accommodation, you lose any right to be released from the Licence Agreement and you will remain liable for payment of the Licence Fee in full. "

In summary, the customer has 14 days to cancel their Summer Let licence agreement, by placing their wish to cancel in writing to the Hospitality Team at the property. The booking can then be cancelled in UBS. If the customer requests to cancel after the 14-day cooling-off period, it is at the discretion of the Regional Business Director and ‘Early Leave’ should be selected when trying to cancel the booking. However, we are not obliged to accept their cancellation and are entitled to request the amount due under the terms of the licence.
